Re: Vlogging on Tumblr
I haven’t checked this blog in a while, so it would make sense that this message from Ciaran has been sitting dormant in my inbox since the beginning of recorded time.
In response: I agree - video posts do kinda get a bit lost. I’ve been thinking for a while about how I do my YouTube stuff - at the moment, my main YouTube channel is HackItUK, which is mainly tech stuff and I don’t really want to put rants and raves, vlogs or other ridiculous stuff on there. However, for a while now I’ve been thinking about moving that over to somewhere else - another Google account perhaps - and using my main Google account as a personal channel. That’d probably be better as a solution for me, because I would be posting vlogs and ridiculousness to my main channelfar more often than I would be posting techy videos to HackIt.
I’ve also been thinking about changing the way HackIt does YouTube, with specialised channels for different areas of interest - such as one channel for gaming, one for mobile, one for news, one for reviews, etc. - this would mean that it’d be easier on the audience, but that would mean that I had to upload videos and work on multiple YouTube channels, which would only work in multiple Google accounts - so overall, a messy solution. (Side note: Why don’t YouTube make it easier for people to create a second channel using the same Google account?)
So, I suppose I’ll let you guys know. Since this post is already pretty long, I’ll save the rest of the news for another post - which will probably come out in the next ten minutes or so. I blog in bursts.

Tumblr’s effectiveness for vlogging
So I’m thinking about starting a video series in which my ultimate goal is to have a rant, complain or just blather on about something. Possibly weekly, who knows. I’m just wondering about Tumblr’s effectiveness for posting these vlogs. I might make a YouTube channel, and I’ll probably put them on my dormant-looking Vimeo page. Thoughts? Message me, reply, reblog, whatever… :P

Q:Is it weird if I ask myself a question? Is it even possible?
Yes and yes. I have GOT to get some friends.
But seriously, ask me something.
Since I haven’t blogged in a while, I’m gonna blog. Just about how it’s all going.
- I’ve got a new show. If you are a fan of either tech news, me or on-camera mistakes then I’d suggest subscribing.
- I may or may not be going to gamescom. Nothing’s final yet.
- Josh is back (I think). Woop!
- I’m using Linux now.
I’m also about to launch a Linux/FLOSS show. Stay tuned.
To be honest, that’s about it. My life isn’t as interesting as I make it out to be.
I’ll leave you with a quick Cabin Pressure reference that I’ve slightly paraphrased, directed at my favourite wannabe reckless captain. (No, I don’t mean Martin. And, since I called shotgun on sarcastic first officer, that’s the choice you’re left with. Have fun, and don’t torture the passengers.)
I bet you a fiver you won’t read this for months.
Oh, look. I’ve just won a fiver.
Until next time. :)
School’s back in, and lacking in the song-by-Alice-Cooper department
Seems like just six weeks ago I was posting about the end of school. Oh wait…
Izzy’s hair is still red. I knew you readers were wondering. :P
Speaking of hair, Jenny’s cut hers. Quite a bit. Since she reads this blog, I won’t make the comment I have lined up. (Seriously though, it looks great. :) )
Chris and Genie are still together. Not that anyone cares. They remind me of another couple involving a different Chris and someone who isn’t a frequent reader of this site… cough Never mind. And no offence. It’s just old news.
Josh is gone as of Sunday (today). Have fun over there. We will Skype you and shiz. Makes you wonder - what happened to old Zealand? :P Also, is it wise to be flying on September 11th? I don’t know. I don’t even know if he is.
Speaking of other countries, I didn’t go to Germany. I got ill. -.- Luke’s back, mind. Hoo-ray. You choose if that was sarcasm or not.
We’ve started our GCSEs, and the classes are all rejiggled. I only see J&J in three classes and J(osh) in two more. But now he’s in New Zealand for six weeks.
I might switch to French. Just sayin’.
Congratulations to Mrs Elms. Long live the Elminators.
I’m on Google+.
I still haven’t done the thing I’ve been meaning to do since Jan/Feb (maybe March). And it ain’t homework. Honest. Although it might be a little harder now. Never mind. And no, I’m not saying what it is. Keep coming back. Follow the mystery. Or something.
That’s it for this peek inside my mind, I’ll see you when there’s more to talk about.
:)
Tomorrow’s just a song away, song away, song away…
Wales.
I seem to have found myself in Wales. West Wales to be exact. New Quay. There’s a view of some sheep from our apartment.
Since someone I know reads this and she’s Welsh, this post won’t contain half the jokes I could make. (I’m kidding, don’t kill me :P )
All I know is, I don’t know if it’s just because they’re strange or because they’re Welsh, but there are some strange people here. Paddling and canoeing in the freezing sea? Rather them than me.
I wonder what the rest of the week will be like.
Hammer and fail 2 is finally out :)
Woop!
I do love Eddsworld.
